Run 5k

Got up before work this morning since today begins my long hours

Was super stiff this morning and my hips were achey from three days straight of thrusters and squats. I should have also ran outside because my old deamons of treadmill running (mental games) didn't help either. I barely eaked out the 3.1 miles at a lousy 35 minutes. I was running 28 min 5k's last summer and I'm way stronger now so I know I can do better.

  1. Don't be so hard on yourself - think of how tired your legs must be after the last three days of Crossfit. It will call come together.

  2. It's hard seeing all Max's athletes post 5k times in the low 20's and it's hard not to compare myself to you all. I'm just a slow runner, that's all, and have only recently learned how to run at my own pace.

  3. Marcy, it will come together, I've been an average club runner for over 20 years - I posted my PB for 5km only 2 yrs ago (I'll be 45 this year) after I started Crossfitting - running is a tough nut to crack because it hurts so much - stay positive you will improve right now you are in heavy training take that into account

  4. You can only compare yourself to yourself otherwise you will drive yourself crazy! Trust me, I have been there. It is hard not to get caught up in it all, but if that means you are a few seconds faster against YOUR previous time, than that is great.
